Who doesn’t love a cow-based candy wrapper?

This wrapper, which roughly translates from Russian to ‘From Krasula – milk candies’ once contained a piece of fudge with a gooey, sugary centre; made by long-established confectionery company Akkond (1943) who are based in the Chuvashia region.

Milk candies from Russia

Even if you can not read Cyrillic the illustration of the cow is a bit of a give-away as to what type of sweet this might be, and is further exemplified by the fun fudgey cow-print pattern. The warm brown and gold tones help with the connotations of a fudgey centre.

I really enjoy the simplicity of this design, and there is something comforting about the colour scheme.

Now I assume this is Russian, as it was bought in a Russian supermarket…but I have struggled to find any information about this particular sweet. If you are familiar with it, please let me know!
